Union Election Commission (UEC) Chairman U Ko Ko and Vice Chairman U Than Soe, on April 21,  visited the restricted area near the UEC office to inspect the preparations for constructing temporary barracks shelters for staff and their families affected by the earthquake.

First, an official from the UEC office explained the planned procedures and ongoing land clearance efforts. The UEC Chairman then gave directives to ensure proper water and electricity supply, improve road accessibility during the monsoon season, maintain systematic sanitation facilities, implement firebreaks and drainage systems, and address any necessary security measures. After issuing these instructions, they inspected the construction site for the temporary shelters and urged the responsible officials to complete the work as quickly as possible.

Additionally, they visited families temporarily housed under rainproof tents, offered words of encouragement, and provided further guidance based on their needs.
