Construction sector: MoC Union Minister received India Ambassador

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant received the India Ambassador to Myanmar H.E Mr. Vinay Kumar at his Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

At the meeting, the two sides cordially exchanged views on the work processes to be implemented for the development of road transportation between the two countries, upgrading of Paletwa-Zorampu Road and Yargyi-Kalaywa Road section, repairing of 69 bridges on Tamu-Kyigone-Kalaywa Road and new construction processes and the construction of Integrated Check Post implemented with the Grant Aid of India for the development of border trade, fast and smooth flow of goods, socio-economic improvement of local people and the development of tourism sector.

Then, they exchanged gifts. Also present at the call were the permanent secretary of the Ministry, directors general from the departments of Road and Bridge and officials.
