Construction sector: MoC UM met with personnel serving in Shan State

The Union Minister for Construction U Myo Than met with the personnel from the Departments and Special Teams responsible for construction, roads, bridges, urban, and housing development in Shan State (South, East, and North) at the Director ’s office of the Road Department of Shan State (South) on 3rd of September and instructed regarding with operational matters, administrative issues, and guidance on their duties.

Speaking at the meeting, the Union Minister emphasized the critical role of the officers and staff at various levels of the ministry in ensuring effective communication and development in the transportation and housing sectors. He stressed the importance of avoiding actions that could negatively impact the ministry's image while interacting with the public.

The Union Minister highlighted the need for Meeting the specified quality and completing in time within the designated fiscal year. He urged state, district, and township officials to systematically manage and supervise construction projects, including drafting and following work schedules.

He also underscored the necessity of financial discipline to maintain balance in project completion and expenditure, ensuring that public funds are not misused. Supervisors at all levels are responsible for monitoring and controlling these aspects.

Next, the heads of departments and special construction units presented and discussed the current status of work implementations for the projects. The Union Minister addressed the reports and challenges faced by the staff, provided solutions, and delivered closing remarks.

Then, the Union Minister provided cash assistance and basic foodstuff to the staff and their families, and cordially greeted and encouraged them, it’s learnt.
