Construction after ‘MOCHA’: Union Minister gives necessary instructions

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant on Friday met with concerned officials and gave necessary instructions for reconstruction in Rakhine State after the extremely severe cyclonic storm ‘MOCHA’.

In his instructions, the Union Minister urged them to repair the roofs of offices and residential buildings as soon as possible, to clear the blockage of fallen trees on the main road with machinery, to build temporary bailey bridges in the place of damaged bridges and to repair the buildings under the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education as soon as possible.  

The concerned officials reported on cooperation and the Union Minister coordinated the cooperation. On the same day, the Union Minister inspected construction of a bailey bridge in the place of the damaged ThaeChaung  Bridge on the Sittway-Patlinpyin  Road and gave necessary instructions.
