Conservative leader holds campaign event ahead of Canadian election

Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre has actively engaged in campaign events leading up to Canada's federal election on April 28.

On February 15, he addressed supporters at a "Canada First" rally in Ottawa, encouraging attendees to wear red and white to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Canadian flag. In late March, Poilievre visited Vancouver Island, where he held a press conference in Nanaimo.

He announced the Conservative Party's plan to implement life sentences for individuals convicted of multiple serious crimes, including human trafficking and fentanyl trafficking.
