Consecration ceremony: Over 10,000 monks to consecrate Shwedagon pagoda

Under the guidance of the Yangon Region Sangha Maha Naryaka Committee of Multi Buddhist sects, the consecration ceremony of the Shwedagon Pagoda by 11,111 monks and rice provision offering ceremony will be held by Yangon Region Government on 2nd May 2023 at the upper terrace of the Shwedagon Pagoda and People’s Square.

State Ovadacariya Sayadawgyis, Members of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Members of State Central Sangha representative committee, Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida Sayadawgyis, Member of Region Sangha Nayaka Committee, Members of Township Sangha Nayaka Committee, Presiding Sayadaws and members of Sanghas from Pariyatti Sarthintaiks in Yangon Region will attend the ceremony so well-wishers and donors are encouraged to attend the ceremony and donate offertories.
