Confirmed Cases Of Seafarers: 3 Positive Seafarers Under Treatment In Kawt Thaung

According to the lab results released by the ministry of health and sports at 8 am on 30th August, three returnees Myanmar seafarers who are put facility quarantine in Kawtthaung Township and identified as the positive confirmed cases are undertaking intensive medical treatment at the exclusive ward of Kawtthaung People’s Hospital.

Two of them are those were signed off from MV-KOUYOU Bulk Carrier through South Africa and the other one was signed off from MT STEADFAST Chemical Carrier through Indonesia.

Those were put in 21 days Hotel Quarantine in Kawtthaung and were tested positive confirmed cases. They are not the residents of Kyawt Thaung but those from Yangon Region and Bago Region.

 The positive confirmed cases of Three Myanmar seafarers were transferred to the ICU of Kawtthaung People’s Hospital from their hotel quarantines in line with the instructions of the ministry of Health and Sports regarding with the COVID-19 preventive measures.
