





The Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and wife, Chief justice of State high court and wife, State Ministers and wives, State Advocate General and officials attended the ceremony for the achievement of five days uninterrupted reciting Mahapathana Dhamma discourses held at the Shwe Phone Pwint pagoda in Taunggyi Township in the morning on 27th September.
First, the Chief minister and members offered the flowers, water, candle light and fruits to the Shwe Phone Pwint pagoda and attended the ceremony for the achievement of five days uninterrupted reciting Mahapathana Dhamma discourses. The congregation led by the Chief Minister observed the five precepts administered by the presiding Sayadaw of Sun Lun Gu KammahtanKyaung Taik monastery, took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha and sermon delivered by the presiding Sayadaw of Thein Taung (သိမ်တောင်) monastery, shared merits gained and offered ‘Soon’ day meal to the members of Sangha.
In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and members attended the welcoming ceremony of 2023 Shan State 24th Myanmar Traditional performing arts competition contestants held at the convocation hall of Taunggyi University.
At the ceremony, the Chief Minister gave the words of encouragements to the contestants for the 2023 Shan State 24th Myanmar Traditional performing arts competition.
Then, the Chief Minister, Chief justice of the State high court, State Ministers, State Advocate General and the officials greeted the members of jury and the contestants.
