Completion of Language training: Basic English language training completed

The ceremony of completing Basic English language training of the Ministry of Information was held at the assembly hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 24th March.

Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint, permanent secretary U Myo Myint Maung, departmental heads, training instructors and trainees.

At the ceremony, the deputy minister said that if the proficiency on the languages encompassed in the media industry which all of us are involving, the work undertakings will be more convenient. As the English is the international language, proficiency on the English Language is essential not only for the work undertaking of the media but also for the office works and the international communications. At the age of technology, as long as the development of technologies, the information technologies are changing. The Basic English skills are needed not only for the language proficiency but also for the computer and digital technologies. The trainees need to further study to apply the skills given by the training in the practical field.

Next, the deputy minister U Ye Tint presented memorable gift to the training instructor Daw Saw Hla Nandar, posed for the documentary photo and concluded the ceremony.

With aim of having English language proficiency for the personnel under the departments of the Ministry of Information, the first batch of training was conducted from 17th April to 22nd June, 2021 and this second batch, a total of 39 trainees were given the training from 6th to 24th of March, 2023.
