Communications Sector: Deputy Prime Minister makes inspections in Yangon

Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San made inspections in Yangon on Saturday.

First, the Union Minister inspected the Service Department and Operations Department of the Myanma Posts and Telecommunications in Mayangone Township.

After hearing report, the Union Minister stressed that it is necessary to have backup systems necessary to ensure that services are not interrupted in the event of communication service failures due to various reasons.

Since the Myanma Posts and Telecommunications is a state-owned business, it is necessary to make special efforts to increase revenue for the state, as well as to make constant efforts to meet the state's communication needs, the Union Minister added.

He also inspected the newly constructed Bayint Naung Data Center, heard report and stressed the need to provide effective service to access data information without interruption for 24 hours.

The security of information and the security system of the Data Center need to be managed at an advanced level. The Union Minister also called for regular maintenance before providing foodstuffs to officials and staff there.
