










In a ceremony held at Nay Pyi Taw Air Base on Friday to commemorate the 76th anniversary of Air Force Day, Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing presided over the commissioning of two Su-3-SME 4th generation fighter aircrafts into the Air Force.
In his address, the Senior General stated that modern warfare places a crucial emphasis on the role of aviation forces. The officers and other ranks of the Tatmadaw (Air) are encouraged to undergo continuous training to enhance their capabilities and contribute to building a proficient Air Force.
Additionally, he highlighted that throughout the 76th period, the Tatmadaw (Air) has fulfilled duties not only in national defense but also in rescue efforts during natural disasters and providing humanitarian assistance. Emphasizing the importance of promoting the prestige of the Tatmadaw, he urged active participation in nation-building endeavors and defense duties while upholding Our Three Main National Causes.
During the ceremony, Chief of Staff (Air) Lt-Gen Zaw Win Myint officially announced the commissioning of the aircrafts, followed by the presentation of miniature models to the Senior General by Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung. The event featured a spectacular display by one of the Su-3-SME fighter aircraft, showcasing high-performance maneuvers such as the tail slide, multiple rolls, oblique loop, slow flight, flat spin maneuver, and maximum banking turn.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party later sprinkled scented water on the newly commissioned aircrafts, and observed them.
