Commenmorative Event: 2024 World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Promotion Week

Sagaing Region held a commemorative ceremony to mark 2024 World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Promotion Week on August 18th.

Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw made a speech, calling for cooperation of all concerned persons in implementing the health activities for the emergence of the intellectual youths in the future. This was followed by screening of a video clip on the World Breastfeeding Week and Nutrition Promotion Week and School Health Activities.

During the ceremony, awards were presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize winners of Best Mother Award. After a group photo session, the Chief Minister and wife and attendees took a tour of demonstration booths on health activities. Moreover, nutrition pills were provided to the children under five years of age and pregnant mothers and breastfed mothers.

The Chief Minister and party later visited the 200-bedded Sagaing General Hospital, and provided nutritious food to the patients and coordinated requirements.
