Commemorative Occasion: Paper Reading Session on Mon culture and customs

A Paper Reading Session on Mon Culture and Customs was held in Mawlamyine on Sunday, as a gesture to commemorate the 50th anniversary Golden Jubilee Mon State Day, which will fall on 19th March.

Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein stressed the need for the public to understand the ancient culture and belief of Mon nationals, emphasizing to carry out for raising awareness.

The Chairman of Mon Literature and Culture Committee extended greetings, followed by presentation of video clip on Mon traditional belief and performance of Mon traditional spiritual dance.

The Paper Reading Session then continued with the presentation of papers on Mon traditional beliefs by the resource persons.
