Commemorative Gallery: Event marking the 77th Independence Day in Dawei

On 3rd January, the opening ceremony of the commemorative gallery marking the 77th Independence Day was held at Shwe Wei Thiri Sports Ground in Dawei Township with the attendance of Chief Minister U Myat Ko.

After cutting ceremonial ribbon, the Chief Minister and officials made a tour to commemorative gallery where the departmental documents and records, local products, traditional heritage and musical instruments are displayed. The gallery also displays MSME exhibitions and the product show organized by Polytechnic University (Dawei) as well as teaching aids and reference books.

Then, the Chief Minister and officials presented awards to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners of the livestock, Vegetables, Fruits, and Horticulture competitions respectively. The gallery will be opened for the public from 3rd to 5th January and music performances will be staged on 4th and 5th January.
