Commemorative Event: Tree planting ceremony to honour Myanmar Women’s Day Science Festival 2023 3-day event concludes with focus on technology & research

To celebrate Myanmar Women's Day, which falls on July 3rd, the Myanmar National Committee on Women organized a tree planting ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday. 

The event was led by Dr. Thet Thet Khaing, the Chairwoman of the committee and Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, together with the Chair of the Nay Pyi Taw Women's Committee, a member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Vice Chair of the Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, members of the Myanmar National Committee on Women, Permanent Secretaries, and Directors-General.

Officials and members from various organizations such as the Myanmar Women's Affairs Federation, Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association, Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation, and Myanmar Women's Sports Federation also took part in the ceremony. A total of 100 saplings of various perennial trees were planted during the event.
