Commemorative Event: Market Festival and Variety Show at Mandalar University

Commemorating the 78th Anniversary Union Day, a market festival and variety show was held at Mandalar University on Friday. Madalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Chief Justice of the regional high court,  members of regional government, Rector, Pro-Rectors, concerned officials and invited guests attended the ceremony.

The Chief Minister and officials formally opened the ceremony by ribbon cutting at the convocation hall. This was followed by performance of commemorative song by the students.

In his speech, the Chief Minister gave the remarks, saying that every year, in commemoration of the Union Day, events related to literature and art as well as market festival and other festivals have been held at universities, degree colleges, and basic education schools.

These activities could yield achievement through cooperation, management and unity, resulting in the positive outcomes for friendship, mutual support, social interaction, patience, and leadership skills. After that, the Chief Minister presented trophies and cash rewards to the students who won prizes in essay, painting, poetry, and article competitions in commemoration of the Union Day.
