Commemorative Event: Competition to mark the Int’l Day for Disaster Risk Reduction

In commemoration of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, an essay competition was held at No.11 Basic Education High School in Zabuthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Thursday. 

The event was held under the title of “let's empower the new generation In order to endure in the future" and 80 students from 39 Basic Education High Schools in Nay Pyi Taw participated in the event.

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win and Deputy Minister U Soe Kyi, Deputy Minister for Education Dr. Moe Zaw Tun and officials encouraged the participants. It’s learnt that prizes and certificates of honours will be presented to the winners during the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction ceremony which will be held on 13th October.
