Commemorative Dinner Reception: 77th Anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

A dinner reception and awarding ceremony commemorating the 77th anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held at the Ministry on Friday.

Present at the occasion were member of the State Administration Council U Wunna Maung Lwin, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Union Minister at the Ministry of the State Administration Council Chairman's Office (1) U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, Union Minister for Labor U Myint Naung, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, member of the Union Civil Service Board, invitees, Acting Permanent Secretary, Ambassadors, retired ambassadors, Directors-General, Deputy Directors-General and departmental staff.

At the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe delivered a speech, calling diplomats to strive for serving the interest of the state and the people and perpetuation of the nation in addition to continual efforts to develop the nation in the future.

This was followed by the prize presentation to the outstanding staff at the training courses conducted at the Civil Service Academy, (Upper Myanmar) and (Lower Myanmar), and 1st prize winning staff in the ministry’s sport competitions marking the 76th Anniversary Independence Day.

The ceremony continued with lucky draw event in honor of 77th Anniversary celebration for departmental personnel. After that, the member of State Administration Council and concerned officials enjoyed dinner together with the departmental personnel, along with Yein traditional dances and lively music performances of the departmental staff.
