Commemorative Ceremony: Int’l Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer

With the theme, “Montreal Protocol: fixing the ozone layer and reducing climate change”, the commemorative ceremony for 2023 International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer took place at the Practicing Training School in Kamayut Township on 16th September.

In the event, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein gave an opening remark. After that, video clips on the message of the UN Secretary General and Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme as well as a commemorative video on the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer were shown.

Later, students staged performances as the commemoration of the event. The Chief Minister then presented prizes to winning students in the High School Level essay contest commemorating the ceremony and also presented certificates of honour to the principal and honoraria to the students.
