Commemorative Ceremony: 20th Anniversary celebration of MWAF held in Nay Pyi Taw

The 20th Anniversary celebration of Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation (MWAF) was held at the Thiri Yadana Hall of the MWAF Office in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday, with the attendance of Honorary Patron of MWAF Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

At first, Chairman of Myanmar National Committee on Women Union Minister Dr Soe Win called for collaborative efforts of women in the fields of developing socio-economic lives and skill enhancing of women, promoting women’s participation in various sectors, violating against women and girl, promoting resistance to natural disaster and getting stronger work processes of regional level Committee on Women for effective implementation of work undertaking which are focused on gender equality.

Then, the Honorary Patron of the MWAF, wife of SAC Chairman presented best volunteer trophies to the Chairs of Women’s Affairs Committee from Mon and Shan States, and Bago and Mandalay Regions who have been working since the establishing of Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation.

Afterwards, Horary Patron of the MWAF Daw Khin Thet Htay, Chairman of Myanmar National Committee for Women’s Affairs Union Minister Dr. Soe Win, patrons of MWAF and chairs presented best volunteer trophies to those who have been serving their duties for over 10 years since the establishing of MWAF.

After screening a video clip on activities which were implemented by MWAF, the Honorary Patron of the MWAF, wife of SAC Chairman along with the attendees viewed around the displayed photos of MWAF.

According to agenda, the 20th Anniversary meeting of MWAF continued, and Chair of MWAF Dr. Thet Thet Zin delivered a remark. During the meeting, patrons analyzed upon the reports by the officials. It’s learnt that the meeting will hold from 14th to 15th March.
