Combating Online Fraud: Illegal buildings in KK Park fully demolished

The government has completed the systematic demolition of all illegal buildings used for online scam and gambling operations in the KK Park area.

It is reported that the last two remaining four-storey illegal buildings in KK Park Zone (2) were demolished on Friday. In total, 635 illegal buildings have been destroyed across the KK Park area, 148 in Zone (1), 62 in Zone (2), and 425 in Zone (3). Demolitions were carried out using explosives and heavy machinery.

In addition, further destruction through controlled burning, has been ongoing since December 14 to ensure complete demolition. So far, 121 illegal buildings have been fully destroyed through this process, and remaining structures will continue to be dismantled. 

The government stated that eliminating online scam and gambling activities is a national responsibility and reaffirmed its commitment to prevent such crimes from operating in Myanmar, in cooperation with domestic forces and neighboring countries.
