Colombian research ship ARC Simon Bolivar set sail off the coast of Punta Arenas, Chile's southernmost city, on a mission to Antarctica.
The Antarctic expedition will develop 19 research projects, including the study of marine mammals such as the humpback whale, also present in Colombia.
