Colombian prison director shot dead, police at the scene

Forensic workers inspect the crime scene where the director of La Modelo prison, one of Colombia's main penitentiaries, was shot dead in Bogota.

Local media reported that director had received several death threats in pamphlets from incarcerated people. The head of the Justice portfolio detailed that the murder occurred while the director was traveling in a vehicle of the National Penitentiary and Prison Institute.
