Colombian President Visits Costa Rica

Colombian President Gustavo Petro met with his Costa Rican counterpart Rodrigo Chaves and the head of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights Ricardo Perez Manrique in the capital San Jose, where the court is based on August 28.

According to the Ministry, the two leaders will discuss issues such as commercial relationships, tourism, bilateral investment, security cooperation, and combating international crime during the meeting. The meeting will address multilateral topics including migration, drug trafficking, and the fight against climate change. President Petro will attend a plenary session with the Inter-American Court of Human Rights during his visit.
