Colombian President Petro visits soldiers wounded in military base bombing

Colombian President Gustavo Petro visited soldiers in a Bogota military hospital after an attack attributed to the left-wing National Liberation Army (ELN). The bombing on a military base in eastern Colombia killed at least two soldiers and wounded 26.

The army has blamed the ELN, which has been involved in intermittent peace talks with the government. ELN ended a cease-fire with the Colombian government in August, but is still involved in peace talks aimed at ending more than five decades of conflict.
