Colombia welcomed the arrival of the first Bogota metro train, a six-car convoy that is unloaded at Cartagena's harbor -- the first in a series of 30 trains.

Built by the China Railroad Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) in Changchun, this train is the result of a manufacturing process that began in mid-2024 and lasted around 10 months. Soon, it will be transported to the capital to begin static and dynamic tests –  a symbolic moment for an infrastructure project envisioned for the capital since the 1970s.
