Colombian President Gustavo Petro spoke on reviving Venezuela, the role of the US, and the shared history of Colombia and Venezuela. Colombia is a critical partner in Venezuela’s recovery, serving as a key logistical hub for international businesses, restoring diplomatic ties, and facilitating economic integration through the Temporary Protection Status (TPS) for migrants.

Under President Petro, Colombia has reopened borders, aimed to boost trade, and pursued a strategy of "constructive" engagement to foster regional stability.
