Collective trees planting: Trees planted collectively in Hopone

The 2024 Monsoon Season Tree Planting ceremony in Hopone Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone of Shan State (South) was held near Namt Baw Hun Village in the morning on 22nd June.

At the occasion, Chairman of the Administration Body of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone U Khun Ye Htwe gave an opening speech on the purposes of organizing tree planting ceremony and benefits gained from the forest and trees.

Next, the Shan State Minister for Natural Resources U Sai Leik to a member of the Administration Body of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone U Khun Hla Thein and local residents, Chairman of the Administration Body of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone U Khun Ye Htwe to the Chairman of Township Administration Body and local people, Commander of Hopone military station Brigadier General Thein Naing to Township Police Commander and local residents, the saplings of the trees were given respectively.

Then, Shan State Minister for Natural Resources U Sai Leik, Chairman of the Administration Body of Pa-O Self-Administered Zone U Khun Ye Htwe and members, Commander of Hopone military station Brigadier General Thein Naing and military officials, self-Administered zone and Township level departmental personnel, members of civil society organizations, military battalions and units and local people planted the trees.  Shan State Minister for Natural Resources and officials encouraged those who were planting the trees and took the documentary group photo. During the tree planting ceremony, a total of 1503 trees were planted, it’s reported.
