





The collective cleaning tasks are being carried out at the precincts of the pagodas and temples of Nay Pyi Taw Council area for the development of the tourism sector and for the pilgrims to pay homage to the pagodas with peace of mind.
On Saturday, member of Nay Pyi Taw Council, U Myint Soe and concerned officials oversaw the cleaning tasks carried out by departmental staff, members of Myanmar Police Force and Fire Brigade, social organizations, pagoda board of trustees and local residents in the precinct of the Historic Yan Aung Myin Shwe Lat Hla Pagoda in Dekkinathiri Township.
Then, Nay Pyi Taw Council member inspected the maintenance process of Maha Bodhi tree in the precinct of the pagoda and construction of the pagoda entrance and provided necessary instructions to construct the planetary Buddha statues around the Maha Bodhi tree respectively.
On arrival at the Historic Phaungdaw ChakmaPagoda in Lewei Township, the council member and party encouraged the cleaning processes carried out in the pagoda’s precinct and gave necessary instructions. Then, he inspected the Mingalar Lake located in pagoda’s precinct and fed the fishes.
Then, the council member and party oversaw the clearing activities carried out for the cleanliness and better drainage system of the Hotel Zone in Dekkinathiri Township.
The weekly collective cleaning tasks are being carried out at pagodas, temples, monasteries, wards, villages and Basic Education High Schools on every Saturday to keep the environment clean and pleasant, to improve drainage system and to prevent spread of mosquito in rainy season.
