Collective Cleaning: Magway Region Chief Minister encourages activities

Collective cleaning activities are carried out every Saturday in Magway Region for the cleanliness and greenness of the townships, schools and pagodas in the region.

On the 23rd of September, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and concerned officials oversaw the cleaning activities carried out by departmental officials and staff in the compound of the Phan Khar Myay home for the aged and cleaning activities carried out by members of the Myanmar Police Force in the Magway Mya Tha Lun Pagoda’s precinct to commemorate the 59th Anniversary of the Myanmar Police Force Day.

Under the management of the Magway Region Government, Tatmadawmen, Women’s Affairs Associations, departmental staff, members of the Myanmar Police Force and the Fire Bridgade, trainees from the Magway Education Degree College and philanthropic associations participated in cleaning activities of the compound of Phan Khar Myay home for the aged.

About 2,500 people participate in the weekly cleaning activities at the respective townships, pagodas, schools and office buildings and the Myanmar traditional snacks and water bottles were donated to those who participated in the cleaning activities. After overseeing the cleaning activities at home for the aged, the Chief Minister and party looked after the cleaning activities at Magway Mya Tha Lun pagoda precinct.
