Collective Blood Donation :In commemorating 76th Anniversary Martyrs’ Day

In commemorating the 76th Anniversary Martyrs’ day which fell on 19th July, students from Bago University made collective blood donation at the 500-bed Bago General Hospital. 56 students from the University participated in the blood donation activity.

Dr Aye Aye Khine, Rector, Bago University said " The activities were conducted by Bago University Red Cross Society. The Red Cross Society organized the students to make blood donation and students actively participate in the activity. Depending on the place, only 60 students come here for blood donation but only 58 students can make blood donation. The remaining students will make blood donation at an opportunity time if necessarily."

The student blood donors said that they are very satisfied to make blood donation as their blood can save the people lives.  

Pyae Ko Ko Aung, 1st year Botany student, Bago University said " I am very pleased to donate blood for other people. I will continue to make this kind of blood donation if I have a chance." 

Eaint Kyaesin Hmu Thwin, 2nd year Zoology student, Bago University said " I want to live unhealthy persons to be in good health like us. I will be very pleased if they are alive with our blood and so, I make blood donation. I feel excited as this is my first experience. I have a plan to make blood donation in future for the people lives." 

Bago General hospital is giving treatments to about 500 in-patients and out-patients daily and about 20 blood bottles are needed for treatments every day.
