A collapsed highway bridge in the Honduran capital

A bridge collapsed on a highway in the Honduran capital, Tegucigalpa, in the early hours of Saturday, April 5, when a heavy vehicle used for paving roads crossed the overpass. The driver of the heavy machinery was taken to hospital and treated for injuries. No other casualties were reported. The authorities have launched an investigation into the accident, suspecting structural defects in the bridge.
