Collaborative Effort : Cleaning works in Sittwe inspected

At Sittwe Township’s Lawkanada pagoda compound on 20th May, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lieutenant General TunTun Naung and Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin met and encouraged members of police force, fire services department, development committee and volunteer groups from regions and states.

The attendees will be going to conduct clean-up and development works in the township that have been affected by the Cyclone Mocha. The Union Minister asked them to carry out the cleaning works in time by forming working groups systematically.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister inspected removing the collapsed tree branches on township’s main road and streets, cleaning works at basic education schools, monasteries, hospitals and clinics, office buildings and also implementation works for electricity access in the township.
