






The ceremony of closing upper relic chamber of YanPyay ManPyay pagoda built by AdeikHtan Sayadaw in MiZan Ward, Sittwe Township, Rakhine State was held in the morning on 16th January.
The Sangha led by AdeikHtan Sayadaw U Kularakkhita, State Chief Minister Dr. Aung Kyaw Min, Commander of West Command Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo, state ministers, state level senior officials and well wishers attended the ceremony.
After opening the ceremony, the congregation observed five precepts from the Sayadaw and the offertories were offered to the members of Sangha.
Next, the ceremony of closing upper relics chamber was held in line with the procedures.
The construction of YanPyay ManPyay pagoda was commenced on 22nd March, 2020 by International Buddhist missionary Maha ZayyaTheikdi AdeikHtan Sayadaw U Kularakkhita with the cost about 2.5 billion Kyats. The pagoda is 72 feet high with one foot height of the plinth. The pagoda construction works have completed at about 80% and the consecration ceremony for the pagoda is planned to hold during April, 2022, according to the report.
