Closing ceremony of refresher course: MoL Union Minister gave necessary instruction

Union Minister for Labor U Myint Naung attended the closing ceremony of refresher course on labor laws inspection of the Factories and General Labor Laws Inspection Department on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister stressed that the inspectors have to check whether the labor standards, existing laws and regulations are in compliance with the workplaces during the inspection and protect the labors’ rights. He emphasized the needs to conduct educative talk on technical information and legal advice to employers and employees.

He urged all inspectors to carry out their tasks without the impact of political, financial and external influences.The Union Minister added that the trainees are necessary to effectively use the good practices and experiences gained from the training. He gave the additional instruction for all trainees to constantly keep studying on the existing and new labor laws in accordance with the times and develop a sense of responsibility and accountability at work.

After that, the outstanding trainees were presented excellence awards and completion certification medals by the Union Minister, permanent secretary and concerned officials respectively.
