Climate change is taking a serious toll on Nepal, with contrasting weather events striking different regions. While the southern Tarai region is reeling under severe drought, other parts of the country are witnessing intense rainfall, triggering floods and landslides. According to the Department of Roads, infrastructure damage has been identified at 227 locations across the country. In some areas, roadways have been reduced to one-way traffic due to the impact.
