Cleanup Efforts: Cleaning activities in Sagaing Region

The Sagaing Region Government is undertaking extensive cleanup efforts in basic education schools and pagodas to align with urban standards.

On February 8, a collective cleaning activity such as bush clearance and drainage excavation was conducted in No.4 Basic Education High School in ThaLa Ward, Monywa Township.

Chief Minister U Myat Ko and concerned officials oversaw the collective activities, joined by General Administration Departmental personnel, members of Myanmar Police Force, other departmental personnel as well as teachers, parents and students.

The event also featured the sale of basic foodstuff and edible oil at reasonable prices.

In a similar effort, over 1,300 personnel, including Tatmadaw members, Myanmar Police Force, fire brigade, and various departmental staff have been working to clean and beautify schools and towns across the Naga Self-Administered Zone as well as 13 districts and 10 townships in Sagaing Region.
