








Led by the Kachin State Government, a collective cleaning and greening task was carried out at Myitkyina Airport on April 12. The purpose of the activity was to maintain cleanliness, beauty, and greenery within the airport premises.
The cleaning operation was participated in by the Kachin State Chief Minister U Khat Htein Nan, members of the state government, the State Advocate General, departmental officials, members of the Fire Services Department, City Development Committee staff, and members of green space organizations. Together, they cleared weeds and shrubs, cleaned around the airport buildings and gardens, trimmed hedges, and applied fertilizer.
Following that, the Chief Minister and officials inspected a 15-acre area of farmland that had become vacant near the Yay-Kyi section of Pammahti Ward, adjacent to the Union Highway. They also visited displaced families from the temporary shelter camp located in Sitapu Ward (Sut Ngai Taung) of Myitkyina, who are preparing to relocate to their purchased land plots. During the visit, the Chief Minister offered words of encouragement and provided them with rice, cooking oil, and financial support for basic necessities.
Additionally, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Myanmar Good News Church located in Tatkone Ward (Radar Kaung-B) of Myitkyina. There, they met with displaced families from various townships in Bhamo District who had temporarily taken refuge at the church. The officials offered warm greetings and words of encouragement and provided rice, oil, and financial assistance.
Furthermore, on the afternoon of April 11, the Chief Minister attended the final and award ceremony of the Chief Minister’s Cup U-18 Inter-Club Men’s Football Tournament. He presented trophies and awards to the winning teams, it’s reported.
