

A Classic Car Show as part of the 130th Anniversary Celebration of the Secretariat was concluded on Sunday evening.
The show was organized and presented by the Myanmar Classic Cars Club which was founded in 2010. The Myanmar Classic Cars Club presented the classic car shows in 2015 and 2017.
General Secretary, Myanmar Classic Cars Club, Zaw Phyo Linn said “This is to display the ancient classic cars in Myanmar to the public. 10 classic cars and 1 motorcycle around from 1940 – 1970 were displayed at the event. Many of them were made in England, U.S.A and Germany and the types are military, truck and saloon.”
The Myanmar Classic Cars Club organized the first classic car tour across Myanmar in collaboration with international clubs in 2013. The Club has now a collection of 30 vintage automobiles.
General Secretary, Myanmar Classic Cars Club, Zaw Phyo Linn said “I want to say words of thanks to the officials who allow us to display the classic cars to the public. Here, young people can see the automobiles from different decades. We will also organize more classic car shows that will include 30 classic cars in the coming years.”
Admission was free and the 2-day show attracted a large number of visitors.
