Clarification: Newly enforced People’s Military Service Law

The ceremony of making clarification on the newly enforced People’s Military Service Law was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday morning.

At the ceremony, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin stressed that every citizen must uphold the three main national causes: Non-disintigration of the Union, Non-disintegration of national solidarity and perpetuation of sovereignty. And, the national Service is the only system which can bring all of the nation’s mights together.

The People’s Military Service system is a long-term plan in implementing nation’s security and development processes and the unity of the all the nationals is necessary in sustaining the balance development of nation’s Economic Might and Military Might, he added.

Then, the Deputy Minister clarified the people’s military service laws which are being practiced in internaional countries, tasks being carried out after enforcing People’s military service law in Myanmar, the eligibilities and exemptions from enlisting in military and the benefits of serving in military.
