Clarification & Meeting: Guidance and full cultivation of multiple crops

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein clarified the guidance by Head of the State and presided over a meeting at the regional government office for the full cultivation of multiple crops in Yangon Region.

Regarding the full cultivation of multiple crops in the region, the Chief Minister said that due to the growing population in the region, it is necessary to produce more water and food than before. Crops suited to the region need to be focused and expanded. Systematic cultivation will increase the yield and 3,000 seeders have been distributed in the region, the Chief Minister added.

And, attendees made discussions on plans to grow multiple crops on monsoon paddy land, number of acres for multiple crops cultivation and irrigation. The Chief Minister called for cooperation with farmers and growers before giving remarks.
