Clarification of Directives: MoI Union Minister gave an opening address

The clarification regarding with the directive No (45/2020) and (4/2023) issued by the Ministry of Planning and Finance to be able to implement the work or work plans in line with the procedures systematically was held at the Ministry of Industry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on March 10 with the presence of Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than, Deputy Minister U Yin Maung Nyunt and senior officials.

In his opening remark, the Union Minister said that the Ministry of Planning and Finance issued a directive No (45/2020) with the approval of the Union Government and a directive No (4/2023) which amended and supplemented the old one to be able to supervise the undertakings implemented with the state budget effectively.

As the Minister’s Office of the Ministry of Industry, Directorates and Enterprises have to spend the capital expenditure which is the state budget, the orders and directives issued by the Office of the President, the Office of the State Administration Council and the Ministry of Planning and Finance are needed to adhere strictly and implement the undertakings successfully.

The Planning Department under the Ministry of Planning and Finance coordinated to clarify the directive (45/2020) and (4/202) to have more understanding on the variation of estimated value in the undertaking of works and work plans implemented with the state budget. In the implementation of the tasks, the tasks will be accomplished in correct way by complying the relevant law, procedures and directives.

Next, the deputy director general and director from the Planning Department of the Ministry of Planning and Finance clarified the points included in the directive No. 45/2020 and 4/2023 one by one in detail. Then, the attendees asked questions on the points needed more explanation and what they wanted to know, the deputy director general and director replied in detail and the Union Minister gave a speech of conclusion.
