Clarification and demonstration: MEVM clarified and trial voting conducted

The Union Election Commission is conducting clarification and demonstration regarding with the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) and it was carried out at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the afternoon on August 29 and attended by the Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Deputy Minister U Kyaw Myo Htut and the officers and staff members of the Ministry.

Also in the morning, the clarification and demonstration were performed at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and attended by the Union Minister U Min Naung, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Gyi and the officers and staff members of the Ministry and conducted test voting.

The clarification and demonstration regarding with the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) was carried out by the members of UEC U Aung Lwin Oo, U Ko Ko Lwin and officials concerned from the UEC and the trial voting was conducted.

By using Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) in the coming elections, a lot of benefits will be produced as well as the free, fairs and prestigious elections met with the standards and democratic norms will be successfully held.

A total of 178 officers and staff members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and 182 from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation attended the clarification and demonstration of electronic voting machine and conducted trial voting.
