






The Union Election Commission is conducting clarification and demonstration regarding with the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) and it was carried out at the Ministry of Health in the morning on August 28 and attended by the Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Deputy Minister Dr. Aye Tun and the officers and staff members of the Ministry.
In the afternoon, the clarification and demonstration were performed at the Ministry of Construction and attended by the Deputy Minister U Win Pe and the officers and staff members of the Ministry and conducted test voting.
The clarification and demonstration regarding with the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) was carried out by the members of UEC U Aung Lwin Oo, U Ko Ko Lwin and officials concerned from the UEC.
By using Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM), it’s speedy up the voting process and the voting result will be enabled to count within a short time. The power consumption of the machine just needs 2 units of 12 V 7.0 Ah Batteries.
The batteries fully charged and used in the MEVM machine which is currently being used in the clarification and demonstration is appeared to be able to use further after conducting trial voting by 2215 officers and staff members from 10 ministries within a week.
If the power run out, the batteries can be substituted with the reserved ones. A total of 258 officers and staff members of the Ministry of Health and 184 from the Ministry of Construction attended the clarification and demonstration of electronic voting machine and conducted trial voting.
