Christmas parade hits the streets of Mexico City

Christmas celebrations began early in Mexico City, with a colourful parade making its way through the streets.

Spectators were treated to a parade of characters and even had the opportunity to greet Santa. Saturday's parade is the 8th edition of the Bolo Fest organized by the Mexican department store Liverpool along the iconic Reforma Boulevard. Thousands of children clapped, cheered, and shook hands with their favourite characters while singing Christmas carols.
