Chinese President Xi Jinping meets US Security Advisor

President Xi Jinping on Thursday met with the U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

After conveying the greetings to Xi on behalf of President Joe Biden, and emphasized the need to maintain the high-level strategic communication by Sullivan, Xi said China and the United States should serve as a source of stability for world peace and a propeller for common development.

Sullivan arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for a three-day visit to China according to invitation of Wang Yi, the director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, to attend a strategic communication between China and the US.
