Chinese President Xi hosts National Day reception

Chinese President Xi Jinping hosted National Day reception on Tuesday. During the reception, Xi said the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China will be held in late October to discuss and formulate recommendations for the 15th Five-Year Plan.

The new plan "must focus on the goal of basically realizing socialist modernization, with a view to building a great country and advancing national rejuvenation", Xi added. Top leaders will gather at the Fourth Plenum in Beijing from October 20th to 23rd.
