Chinese Premier meets European Council President

Chinese Premier Li Qiang stated on Friday that fostering stable and sustainable China-Europe relations is a shared responsibility and an expectation of the international community. He made these remarks during a meeting with European Council President Charles Michel in Vientiane, Laos, on the sidelines of East Asia cooperation discussions.

Li highlighted the importance of high-level exchanges and cooperation since the December meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and EU leaders. He stressed that a strong China-EU relationship contributes to global stability and prosperity.

Michel echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the EU's commitment to deepening dialogue and resolving issues collaboratively. Both leaders affirmed their dedication to enhancing economic ties and addressing global challenges like climate change.
