Chinese New Year: Celebration held in Yangon

Chinese Embassy in Yangon organized a Reception to mark the Chinese New Year on Thursday. Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Admiral Tin Aung San attended the event on behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

On arrival at the reception, the Admiral and party together with the Chinese Ambassador and officials, took a tour around the booths, displaying the Chinese traditional items, and enjoyed the Chinese traditional lion and dragon dance.

In his New Year Greetings, the Admiral highlighted the long existence of PaukPhaw relations between the two countries with friendly relations between the two people. He also expressed gratitude for China’s assistance in education, health, social, rural development and poverty reduction.

He stressed to enhance cooperation between the two countries, successfully overcoming any challenges, standing firmly as good neighbourly countries. Chinese Ambassador MaJia also expressed wishes for long lasting of China-Myanmar PaukPhaw relations, bringing benefits to the two people. This was followed by entertainment programs featuring Chinese traditional performances and Myanmar traditional cultural dance.
