Chinese mainland reports 68 new confirmed COVID-19 cases Monday

Chinese health authority said on Tuesday that it received reports of 68 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on Monday, including four imported cases and 64 locally-transmitted ones. No deaths related to the disease or new suspected COVID-19 cases were reported. The mainland reported four new imported COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of imported cases to 2,053, according to the National Health Commission.

A total of 82 imported COVID-19 cases remained hospitalized, with two in critical conditions. A total of 83,959 confirmed COVID-19 cases had been reported on the mainland. The commission said that 34 new asymptomatic cases were also reported on the mainland, including six imported cases, and 24 domestic ones that were later confirmed to active COVID-19 cases. The commission also received reports of  2,778 confirmed cases with 22 deaths from the Hong Kong, 46 confirmed cases from Macao and 462 confirmed cases, including seven deaths, from Taiwan.
